The Go-giver in Practice or Customer Trust
If you want to start your own business I would strongly recommend to read ‘The Go-giver: A Little Story About a Powerful Business Ideas’ by Bob Burg. This little story will give you fundamental ideas for approaching your business. These ideas are not new in the world, but unfortunately a lot of people do not implement them in their own business. This is why they are not able to succeed in their business and make their company to grow and flourish.
I am going to tell you about my experience of the range of ideas from this book. When I attended a Lee McInture ‘Inside Out Upside Down’ workshop in Manchester (UK) in August 2009, he taught us about delivering more value in content than you get back from your customers in payment. This is one of the principles from ‘The Go-giver’ book. To be honest I did not take this idea very seriously. Everybody can say nice words, but how does it work in real life?
Soon life showed me a proof of that. It happened when I enrolled onto Lee McInture ‘Point and Click Coaching’ program. However, something went wrong and I could not get access to my fourth week of coaching program. I contacted Lee through Help Desk. In replying email they apologized and gave me access to Super Sales Funnel program, which is value 4 times more than a week of coaching program.
I had realised that Lee applied the idea of giving more in value than you take in payment. He not only educated us this approach to business, but actually applied the idea to his business.
This is a truly effective way to create customer loyalty or customer trust. Trust is one of the main components of customer loyalty. One of the most important things in relationship between you and your customer is trust. In real life we can get trust using our visual contact with the person, or our body language.
However in online business it is a different story. Eye contact and voice impression are not possible to use in online service, so you have to find other ways to create customer trust. On the way to your success in Internet Marketing you will learn many different strategies for building customer loyalty and ‘The Go-giver: A Little Story About a Powerful Business Ideas’ by Bob Burg is a good start.
And remember that statistics show that only 20% of regular customers bring 80% profit to an online business. Thus it is much cheaper to keep loyalty of regular customers than to look for new ones.
